The first rice mill was set up by Mr Vasudev Makhija in 1967 when he returned back from Ghana, South Africa due to change in the political situation and economic policies. The first plant was set up with a production capacity of 20-30 quintals of product per day. The business saw a heavenly change when the second generation, Mr Dhanesh Makhija took over and kept on increasing production and processing units. Today, the family is managing 4 rice processing units with an output of 550 tons per day. The third generation, Honey Makhija has taken over to further increase the production by 200 tons. The new entity would be 100% export-oriented.
